How To Properly Clean Lip Gloss Tubes

The key to cleaning lip gloss tubes is thoroughly dissolving any remaining product and disinfecting them. I suggest a three-step process: dissolving residue, deep cleaning, and disinfecting/drying.

1. Dissolving Residue: First, use tweezers or your fingernail to remove the rubber stopper from the lip gloss tube. Use a lip brush or cotton swab to remove as much residue as possible. Then pour in makeup remover or alcohol and soak for 5-10 minutes to fully dissolve the residue.

2. Deep Cleaning: Bend a cotton swab, dip it in a small amount of makeup remover, and repeatedly wipe the inside of the tube opening. For the tube body, you can twist a washcloth into a strip and insert it, rotating it back and forth to wipe. If there is stubborn dirt at the opening, you can use a hairdryer to slightly melt it before cleaning.

3. Disinfecting/Drying: Finally, pour in medical alcohol, shake to disinfect, then pour it out and let it air dry in a well-ventilated area. Do not wipe it dry with paper towels; allow the alcohol to evaporate naturally for the best disinfection effect.
